The Times of Abraham Lincoln
Bring the songs and stories of the civil war to your library, school, club, or special event

2009 has been quite the year. Recovering, very well I might add, from a heart attack, finally quitting teaching completely (I had switched from full-time classroom to part-time gifted ed), and trying to survive the economy has been a full-time effort. As Elton John once sang, “Thank God, my music’s still alive!”

I have a full summer schedule, and an ever-growing fall and winter schedule. I have projects and new creative challenges. A wonderful family and the best friends I could ever hope for.

 Life is good!

Mike’s now on the Illinois ArtsTour Roster! Click here to see how this can help you bring Mike to your school, library, festival, or museum!  Or click  http://www.arts.illinois.gov/roster/includes/AT.htm

 NEW SONGBOOK!

MIKE ANDERSON’S KIDS’ S SONG  BOOK

Finally! This new songbook contains words, dulcimer tab, chords, music, histories, and a couple of jokes of 24 kid’s songs. I had a lot of fun making this book and am sure those of you who want to play music for kids will also enjoy this book.

I hope to see you somewhere.
Come up and say hi!
Be careful on the highways. We all have people who want to see us come home.
If we all work together, we won’t let them down.

--Mike

The old man comes to the Midwest blowing in with his ice and snow.
He covers the field with a blanket to help the winter wheat grow.
There’s time to go for a sled ride pulled by the old John Deere
When Winter comes to the Midwest on the Prairie
